This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Spiritual Identity are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the book of Job. They are: Small beginning, great ending; The mouth; The wise man; and Awesome majesty.
Excerpts:
Small beginning, great ending
“Esther started as an obscure young girl but she ended up as a queen with numerous servants attending to her. Joseph started small, as a slave and later became a prisoner, in the low of the low level of existence, far away from his doting father, his familiar area. However because of his faithfulness, he will be the first person to tell you now that it is true that: “though my beginning was small, my latter end increased greatly” as he because ruler in the land of Egypt, the same land where he was a foreigner, slave and prisoner. In the place of shame he had double honour (Isaiah 61:7); so will your case be.”
The mouth
“There is no divorcing the heart from the words of the mouth. A vile heart will be reflected in vile words. Jesus said make the tree good and the fruits will be good also (Matthew 12:33). If the tree of our heart is good, if we have the word of God dwelling in us and Jesus in us, Jesus said that we would ask whatever we want in the place of prayer and it will be granted to us (John 15:7). That means when we ask from the standpoint of union with Christ, we would merely be speaking his mind in prayer and that has guaranteed an answer. That is why Jesus said that the father always hears him because he does whatever he wants (John 14:10), that is prayer emanating from his union with the father in his fullness.”
The wise man
“Since they choose not to believe in God, they therefore sold themselves to the lies of the devil, and God allowed it to be so. But there is always an opportunity to choose life, and the bible says that God is longsuffering, not wiling that anyone should perish but that all should have eternal life. That is the right choice. That takes us to the path of increasing understanding of the wisdom of God, an adventure of wisdom knowledge and understanding.”
Awesome majesty
“God loves us but we would not be able to connect with that love apart from Jesus, Jesus wants to come into man to manifest his eternal life in us but as a human he cannot to that, He needed the Holy Spirit. We are supposed to move forward empowered by the Holy Spirit, through fellowship with him, reveling in the love of the Father and walking in the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
