This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Spiritual Identity are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore eight topics, from different verses in the book of Luke. They are: Our daily bread; New relationship with God through Jesus Christ; Will of God: knowing, preparing for, and doing it; Your relationship and your inheritance; Lost; The kingdom at this time; Authorities; and Third day.
Excerpts:
Our daily bread
“God is not called our father for nothing, as the father of spirits is the source for the spirit’s sustenance; he loves and disciples us because they are what our soul needs. So you have yourself to blame when you experience lack on any area of these areas. It may be that you are looking to man and not to God as the one who gives you daily what you need for the sustenance of your whole being. Note that it is not yearly, or monthly, it is daily “bread”. It is a life of perpetually looking up to God for sustenance in all these three parts of man.”
New relationship with God through Jesus Christ
“Some people have a problem with the concept of trinity, saying there is nothing like that in the bible. Those kinds of people are to be blamed for their oversimplification of issues. However, from the foregoing, the concept of trinity (if you have a problem with the nomenclature) is the only viable understanding we can come to, to appropriately rate the threesome described in various places as God the father , the Son and the Holy Spirit. Accept that we have eternity to understand that concept, when our capacity to understand would be upgraded unencumbered by the veil of the flesh when we have eternal bodies.”
Will of God: knowing, preparing for, and doing it
“Paul said: woe me if I preach not the gospel (1Corinthians 9:16). Why such a fatal statement? It can only come from a man with an overarching sense of identification with Christ and his passion for the lost. Even while in prison, he used the opportunity of making a defence for himself, to push the gospel of Jesus, either covertly or overtly on others, so much so that one king in his audience at one time said: you almost made be a Christian (Acts 26:28). This was a man prepared, and all full of action in the direction of the will of God.”
Your relationship and your inheritance
“Our inheritance is also our sphere of influence, the field we are to tend, (like Adam and Eve had Eden), using the tool of our gifts, which is also your inheritance because God and anything he has is your inheritance. We are the God-possessors.”
Lost
“In all who have not come to Jesus, there is the element of the ignorant lost, the valuable lost or the arrogant lost, or two or three of them. The ignorant lost is defined by what he does not know; the valuable lost is defined by what he seeks, seeking to count for something, and gets counted for the wrong thing; while the arrogant lost is defined by what he has; he thinks he had no need when all his needs are met, if not, that is what he focuses on.”
The kingdom at this time
“The kingdom now starts with the rebirth of our spirit, comes be bare in the transformation of the soul and culminates into the entrance into the very presence of God once our tenure on earth lapses. That is the hope that the kingdom advancement at this time is built on.”
