Mia pushed open her office door and her breath caught in her throat. This wasn’t at all what she’d expected for clients. There, sitting feet away from her, were two of the most virile men she’d encountered in a long time. She wasn’t sure which guy was Taylor or which was Bret, but she certainly wanted to know as her interest peaked.
Both men had dark hair, but one of them looked in need of a hair cut. The other’s hair was groomed without a hair out of place. Green and brown eyes met hers and she felt the pull of attraction sweeping through her. Lord, but I could look at these guys all day and never tire of the scenery. Mia swallowed hard. She didn’t miss their muscular shoulders stretching the seams of the casual polo shirts they wore. Boy was I way off base believing they were some stodgy old men I’d have to represent.
As she continued to study them, a strange thought winged its way through her brain. She’d like nothing better than to bed both of her handsome clients at the same time. She didn’t understand where this thought was coming from. It was something popping into her head that kept pushing to the forefront of her thoughts. Soon, though, her sanity returned with the realization hitting her that attorneys don’t date or bed clients.
“Hello,” she moved across the room to where they sat, swallowing hard to keep her emotional response from her tone. “I’m Mia Tognerelli, an associate of John and Andrew.”
“Well, hello, Mia,” one of the men stood putting emphasis on her name, his husky tone vibrating through her senses. “I’m Taylor and this is Bret. John didn’t tell us what a beauty we’d be talking to today.”
She didn’t miss how his eyes took in her soft profile before moving to check out the rest of her shapely figure. When he looked up again, she saw interest shining in his probing glance.
“And John didn’t tell me what hunks I’d be representing,” she admitted in almost a whisper. She wasn’t certain how her new clients would take her boldness, but she was always one to speak her thoughts; good or bad. The words were put out there and she couldn’t pull them back. She stole a glance at them from lowered lashes and discovered their eager smiles. Mia could tell they were as interested in her as she was in them.
