Antonio Romano, an Italian business tycoon, walked into the office building of Buchannan Enterprises. Soon it would be his, along with Dana Buchannan. She belonged to him four years ago when she was in college, but chose to run after she saw him making love to someone else. When he found her, again he decided he still wanted her. This time he would offer her an ultimatum. Live with him, or lose the health insurance for her mother who needed specialized care. He replaced her position at her family’s business, forcing her to stay in his home. Antonio tried to wait patiently for her to start on birth control, but before long he was making love to her, and the pills still sat on the dresser.
She looked just like a perfect baby doll with a very shapely body and long blond hair with bright ice-blue eyes. He needed to stay away from her until she started the pills, so he dated some of his other girlfriends. She fought him to the point of exhaustion every time he came home with their love bites and perfume on him, and she would always end up sick from it.
Before long, she was pregnant with his child because he was so impatient. When Antonio’s parents came for a visit from Italy, he arranged for her to visit her mom at the hospital over the weekend just to get her out of the house. He arranged a meeting with his dad in his office to discuss the fact that Dana was pregnant. His father insisted he marry her and bring him his grandchild. Antonio did not want a child, or to get married yet even to Dana and he was angry that his father required this from him.
When he decided to marry Dana, she refused knowing all of this, but he pushed until he had his own way. They flew to Vegas and married in one of the chapels. On Monday, he left town for a week on a business trip, but spending most of it on the beach and broke all of his vows. While he was out of town, Dana received a call from the hospital that her mom wasn’t doing well. She called Antonio’s driver Derek, and he drove her there to see her. Soon after her mom passed and she, and her father went through the funeral together. They sorted her belongings giving Dana a chance to take whatever she wanted before her dad sold the house and would travel for a while.
Now that they were married, Antonio wanted nothing to do with her. She hadn’t felt well all day and later that evening she passed out in the guest bathroom. He found her lying in a pool of blood. Three days later, she lost her baby.
He decided he was the only one that could care for her, so he would keep her forever this time and convince her to stop running from him. When she could travel, he took her to his country, only to find out one of his sisters, Amelia, did not want her anywhere near him. She did everything possible to separate the two of them, and Antonio was irate with her. She went as far as visiting him in the states with a friend and drugging him so her friend could slide into bed with him making sure Dana saw it.
After a positive drug test, Antonio decided to confront his sister while Dana stayed on the jet nursing a migraine after arguing with Antonio. While there, she witnessed a drug bust in the jet next to her. By the time Antonio arrived the police had raided the hanger and Nico Mancini, Amelia’s future husband had been shot. Antonio couldn’t believe his little tiny woman had single handedly taken down a drug lord in his country, and he would never let anyone know she was on the plane next door.
Sitting back thinking about all of this Antonio realized he was the only one that could take care of Dana and keep her safe. It would take a strong man to deal with her temperament and watch over her.
