When Zeus Dalaras and Carlos Fidakis father devised a plan to join their companies so Carlos could oversee both businesses, they stopped by his office. Zeus decided to give him his nineteen-year-old daughter Aleta to marry so he would become a family member making it all possible.
She just graduated from college with a business degree and was ready to start her life. She was an Artist and had already earned enough money with her oils to buy her own sports car and support herself. She danced in a ballet recital, worked out every day in the gym and helped take care of her younger sisters, so she was busy every day.
Carlos was an executive, ten years older than Aleta and did not want a child bride any time soon. He always dated professional women his own age and was not ready to settle down with a new wife as young as she was. He tried everything to get out of the marriage, but his father, and Aleta’s dad insisted they marry. Aleta also tried to get out of it running from him on many occasions, but when he watched her walk into the club, he changed his mind. She was younger than he was, but so beautiful he could not resist her and decided he would keep her home until she grew up mentally. Physically she was perfect for him. He would let no one touch her ever again.
After they were married, he kept her in the house, refusing to let her out of his site. He took everything from her, car, phone, dancing, and her friends, breaking her spirit and holding her in his home. She gave up knowing he was too strong for her to fight him. She did her best to survive in his home, but when she found him kissing his girlfriend in their living room, she fled on foot in the storm, refusing to believe he wanted her anymore. His security team caught her bringing her back after a hospital stay for pneumonia.
Four months after they were married, he took her to one of his islands for a past-due honeymoon. He owned this resort and had business to tend to. He spent the first morning on the golf course with his manager leaving her alone in the room because he was angry with her after talking to one of his security men, and he was not over it yet. She made a call to her friend Alissa and soon after she was on her way to New York City leaving Carlos alone as he had her. She was a Ballerina in a dance recital, which none of her family knew about, and she would dance for the next three months deciding what she wanted to do with her life.
Carlos could not find her anywhere finally realizing she ran the first time he left her alone without the gates and could survive on her own. Even his security team could not find her. He was a very jealous man and did not want anyone to see her. Three months later, she called, and he figured out she was the lead dancer in a Broadway show. He watched her dance on national television and he arranged to take their families to her last production. On their way home, he was watching the news and noticed one of his former employees in the background while she was signing autographs in New York. He called his security team to meet them at the airport to escort them home knowing this man wanted her and would use her to blackmail Carlos. Security was attacked, and Aleta was taken. The security guard was a sharp shooter and stopped the car, but Aleta slammed into the dash.
In the end, he found out it was his former girlfriend plotting to have her way with him at Aleta’s expense. Could these two independent people combine their lives and make it work?
