Come è avvenuto per la maggior parte delle città fortificate, anche nel caso di Oviedo le mura del XIII secolo hanno rappresentato un vincolo per la successiva organizzazione degli elementi della vita della città. Queste mura, parte delle quali è ancora oggi visibile lungo diverse strade della città, non sembrano essere state le prime realizzate a Oviedo. Questo contributo intende avanzare l'ipotesi che esistesse una precedente cinta muraria altomedievale il cui tracciato può essere ricostruito sulla base di ipotesi fondate sulla rappresentazione e sull'idea di riproposizione grafica del patrimonio storico che viene qui presentata. | Representation as a tool to retrace the layout of medieval walls: Oviedo – Like the walls of most fortified cities, the thirteenth-century walls of Oviedo represent an impediment during the reorganisation of its urban elements. These walls, some parts of which are still visible along several city streets, do not however appear to be the first to have been built in Oviedo. This contribution theorises the existence of earlier medieval walls and bases the reconstruction of their layout on hypotheses inspired by representation and the 'graphic repositioning' of the city's historical heritage. | Facing English text
