This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of The Power of God are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the book of Job. They are: Discovering God’s depths: evolution, age of humanity, age of the earth and the days of creation; The wisdom and weapon of silence; Overcoming the devil; and The ordinances of the heavens.
Excerpts:
Discovering God’s depths: evolution, age of humanity, age of the earth and the days of creation
“There are things hidden that are yet to be revealed, that we need to keep searching, using various tools including the bible and scientific tools. The search is the fun. It is an endless search of eternity, because God’s depths cannot be full searched. So why search at all? I repeat: the search is the fun.”
The wisdom and weapon of silence
“Paul wrote that the God of peace will soon crush the devil under our feet (Romans 16:20). When we walk in peace we have our feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace and that is part of the armour of God that we wear in our conflict with the principalities and powers (Ephesians 6:10-12). Peace is a weapon of warfare. Silence is holding your peace (Exodus 14:14), which gives the platform for God to fight for you.”
Overcoming the devil
“The life of God in you is not just to make you feel good, but to lift you to the height of fulfilment. The life of God manifests as healing and Jesus is the sun of righteousness whose main expression is healing (Malachi 4:1-3), which means reversal of ill.”
The ordinances of the heavens
“Jesus has the key of death and hell, in which he would shut the devil forever, but he has not fully used it yet (he is using it in a limited sense with hell shut against the believers), but he will use it. He can use it at any time. So what is he waiting for? A glorious church (Ephesians 5:24-27).”
