This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Spiritual Identity are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore seven topics, from different verses in the book of Isaiah. They are: The virgin; Watchman; Where God’s hand rests; The bible teacher; There is no other; Defeating the workings of iniquity; and New creature.
Excerpts:
The virgin
“It is carnality for some to say: I am for Paul and for another to say I am for Apollos, when they are just tools of God to get his work done in the church, Mary did not even have such role. While we are not to disrespect her, we should also not elevated her more than we ought. We cannot allow our emotions for her take us to the wrong conclusion because the scriptures cannot be broken. There is no other way given among men by which we can be saved, except the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12).”
Watchman
“John said that we should test all spirits and confirm if they are from God (1John 4:1). Because demonic spirits comes with deceptive agenda, create false revelations for the gullible to swallow, create false impression for the spiritually weak to embrace. This is the call to be strengthened in the area of spiritual sight, become true watchmen.”
Where God’s hand rests
“It is the place where we gain a new view of things, but the climb can be rigorous.  And the climb is to the height of the power, acts and move of God. But climb we must because we will not rest until we have the fullness of God.”
The bible teacher
“When you identity yourself as a teacher then get on with it, you cannot continue to be jealous of what others have.  If you are not a teacher when you recognise one receive their ministry and understand that if they are not important then God will not put there here.  Do not close yourself to teachers of the word, recognise them, they elevate the scriptures in the midst the church and as it was noted that Jesus said. If we do not know the scriptures them we are susceptible to errors.”
There is no other
“We need to have the building block of God’s truth in us. The more we know him the deeper our relationship with him becomes. I cannot relate with you more than I know you, know the truth about you, and when it comes to God, we are given capacity to know him as we share his Spirit, which is the foundation and truth becomes the building block for it. That makes it possible for us to know the one, the God, who said there is no other apart from him.”
Defeating the workings of iniquity
“For God to interact with the people of ancient Israel there had to be a series of laws, barriers and regulations, that makes the relationship with God about forms, rituals, regulations and restrictions. And God was hiding behind a veil in a small place in the temple. But in Christ, God’s ultimate intention was achieved, the issue of sin was laid to rest and the relationship between God and man was restarted through the medium of faith.”
New creature
“Describing the making of the new creature, Jesus said that except a grain of falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone but when it dies it brings forth many grains (John 12:24). He hinted that the task of making new creature was going to cost him his life. That is not cheap. Putting the cost into perceptive, Paul wrote that since God did not withhold his son from us but gave him to us, how much more will he, together with him, freely give us all things (Romans 8:32)?”
