This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of The Power of God are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore nine topics, from different verses in the book of Exodus. They are: Bring my people out of Egypt; God speaks of the end from the beginning; The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; The Lord’s insistence; No easy redemption; From the house of bondage; The Lord my healer; God as Eagle; and God: “I brought you to myself.”
Excerpts:
Bring my people out of Egypt
“Jesus has brought the possibility of eternal fulfilment not just temporal, the possibility for everyone to serve God who is love. That is designed to be the most liberating existence. Plugged into the divine power source, we are enabled to be all we can be, and that in union with Christ.”
God speaks of the end from the beginning
“That was why Paul told Timothy to war a good warfare by the prophecies that have been spoken over his life (1Timothy 1:18). We need to pray as Jesus said, “let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matthew 6:9-10, Romans 8:26-28)” in our individual case. In a way, that shows that we agree with the will of God at least in our individual lives.”
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob
“The ultimate House of God is Jesus Christ (John 2:19-22), so perish the thought of connecting with God without him. (Also perish the thought that this means a physical address on this earth, it is a spiritual location called “in Christ (Colossians 1:2)” that you enter by faith in Him and through His finished works at Calvary). With him you are guaranteed to meet God, but without him you are lost forever without ‘an option of fine.’”
The Lord’s insistence
“The Word of God carries his creative force of healing and transformation and those convey the mind of God, the insistence of God, which is displayed in the life of Jesus. In Him, God insists we should be delivered from our own Egypt: sin, addiction, obsession, sickness and diseases and death, and whatever makes man uncomfortable, representing bondage.”
No easy redemption
“Does your experience match those of these divine foot soldiers? What is it that looks like struggle in your life, in the area of your assignment? You are being trained to walk by faith; so that you can deliver on the job of bringing redemption into the reality of your world.
“No easy redemption? You bet!”
From the house of bondage
“While leaving the earth, Jesus told his disciples that not only would they be able to heal the sick and cast out devils from the oppressed, but as many as believed in Him down the years, would likewise be qualified to give quit notices to Satan’s emissaries in the lives of people (Mark 16:15-20). He said as many as believed on him, who embrace him as the Truth, will be likewise equipped with his power in their lives, would walk in his victory over satanic influences; and also display his power to set people free from the house of bondage.”
The Lord my healer
“I am not interested in making you feel guilty for your health issues but just to elevate your vision of what is possible in Christ, in the blessings locked in the words of God. We have the character of God unveiled to us in the pages of the bible and one of it is that He is the Lord who stands for healing for us, whose influence in our lives is beyond just telling us dos and don’ts, He manifests in our body as it’s repairer, so that we are always in health.”
