This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Holiness are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore three topics, from different verses in the books of 1Corinthians, Ephesians and Philippians. They are: Malice and evil; sincerity and truth; Wives, subject to their husbands in everything; and Fruit of righteousness.
Excerpts:
Malice and evil; sincerity and truth
“When you add leaven to the flour it complicates it. The bible says blessed are the pure in heart because they shall see God. To be pure in heart is to be sincere, to have God as your only source, your only passion. It is in that state that you can see God. You can only see God when you are rid of ulterior motives. The bible says some people ask and do not receive because they ask to spend it on their lusts. They do not receive because of impure motives.”
Wives, subject to their husbands in everything
“Whatever you do or say, there is nothing you can do against the truth (2Corinthians 13:5-9).”
Fruit of righteousness
“We should rather, as the bible says, rejoice with those who rejoice (Romans 12:15). It should rather cause you to learn from the person, rather than be jealous and castigate the person and be hateful, and prideful, giving excuses why the person has success or not you.”
