This is part of a series of books in which particular verses are picked from books of the bible, and the issues of Jesus are explored, in the light of the mind of God for us.
In this book, we explore four topics, from different verses in the books of Ezekiel and Daniel. They are: From under God’s anger to under God’s power; The Lord of heaven and his houses; The dominion of Christ; and Jesus and Daniel’s seventy weeks.
Excerpts:
From under God’s anger to under God’s power
“Through Jesus we are saved from our sins; in Christ we are empowered to fulfil our purposes; as Lord he restores us to obedience in the use of our time, energy and finances, as we submit to him.”
The Lord of heaven and his houses
“And if you are not a house of God (in an individual sense) on this earth having His spirit in you, (which happens when you meet Jesus, the house of God in the incarnate sense), then you will not go the House of God, in the eternal sense- the third heaven. You will go to the house of your father the devil in hell.”
The dominion of Christ
“Describing that kingdom, the bible says that of his reign and of peace there shall be no end. It means the kingdom will be marked by peace (Isaiah 9:7, Luke 1:33). And there shall be no death because he is the resurrection and life himself (John 11:25).”
Jesus and Daniel’s seventy weeks
“Jesus is the Lamb of God which takes away the sins of the world (John 1:29), the embodiment of the seventy weeks prophecy. Sin is no more a problem between man and God through the blood of Jesus. This will definitely be a song in the ears of Daniel, because there was no guarantee that after God forgives Israel and returns them back to their land that they will not return to their bad ways. So God told Daniel: I have a plan to end the issue of sin. That plan was Jesus. The whole dynamics of the relationship between God and man has changed. Everlasting righteousness (2Corinthians 5:21) was brought in after it was lost in the first Adam.”
